Abstract

It is painful, yet necessary, to understand the dominant characteristics of the world we have built so far, and from that understanding, to recognize the urgency with which we must stop reproducing it—starting today! Addressing the elements that constitute it would lead to the creation of long lists of disasters, of terrible things that, on the surface, would seem unbearable to live with on a daily basis, much less endure. However, it seems we have normalized them with resignation, accepting that nothing can change. We have accepted—and reproduced when necessary—violence in all its forms, though much more frequently in recent times: violence that kills, annihilates, disappears, and exterminates life.
