Abstract

This work is about the bodily relationship established in the healing rituals of the cult of the Niño Fidencio. In which, patients somatize healing through bodily sensations that they attribute to the divine. My interest is to provide a sociocultural explanation of this phenomenon, arguing that the body perceives its context and generates sensations according to a social expectation established prior to the ritual.
