Abstract

The work addresses the way in which the religious beliefs and practices of older people have been aRected by the confinement caused by COVID-i9. Emphasis is placed on those eRective beliefs and practices which have been identified and analyced with the lived religion approach. We worked with a heterogeneous sample made up of a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (IJSUD), a Catholic, a Methodist, an Adventist and a Pentecostal, from the middle class. The issues were addressed by means of a semi-structured questionnaire touching: the way of adaptation of these people and their congregations to the context of confinement and physical and social distancing; the practices that they have maintained and that have helped them to face this situation; and finally, his perception of divinity before this event. With the information, a narrative of the particularity of his faith was built.
