Abstract

The indigenous struggle in the department of Cauca, Colombia has meant the largest process of ethnic resistance that has been generated in the history of the Country. That is why this article shows a geosociohistorical reality that continues to transform the state territorial order, confronting and stressing the old modern territorial order that since the 19th century became the conflict of the reality of the Colombian nation. As a result of the above, the research bases its research experience on an ethnographic approach, allowing it to approach the Misak indigenous community, which is located in said department and which has become part of the indigenous resistance in order to recover the land the territory, as well as defeating colonialism and coloniality phenomena that historically determined the inferiority, oppression and subalternization of this community.
